The property since being acquired has maintained close to 100% occupancy on a consistent basis. The centre is located in Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, 1 kilometre from the ferry terminal on the main access road and close to schools and transportation. Terracap acquired the centre when the Nanaimo market was a stagnant, secondary market, anticipating that the strength of Victoria’s market would soon spill over and result in growth for the area. Through dedicated management and a significantly improved market, the vacant spaces have been leased out. The centre is now a full-service shopping centre, with a diverse collection of leasing retail and services, surrounded by the Government of British Columbia buildings, big box retailers such as Staples, gas, food and convenience stores such as Tim Hortons.
